Privacy & Cookie Policy

This policy explains how personal data of visitors to matteomandelli.com (the “Site”) are processed, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), the Italian Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003) and the Italian Data Protection Authority’s guidelines on cookies.

2. What data we process and why
Browsing data. The server that hosts the Site automatically records technical data (IP address, date and time, page requested, browser) in its logs, to deliver the pages, keep the Site secure and investigate abuse. Legal basis: legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Logs are kept by the hosting provider for a limited period.
Contact by email or WhatsApp. If you write to us by email or click “Message on WhatsApp”, we process your name, contact details and the content of your message to answer you. Legal basis: your request and pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest in replying (Art. 6(1)(f)). Data are kept for the time needed to handle your request and any follow-up. WhatsApp is provided by WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta), which processes data as an independent controller under its own privacy policy.
“Talk with Matteo” chat. The questions you type in the chat are sent to Groq, Inc. (USA), an AI service, only to generate the answer. Questions are not stored by the Site. To prevent abuse, a one-way hash of your IP address is kept on the server for about one minute. Please do not enter personal data in the chat. Legal basis: your request (Art. 6(1)(b)) and legitimate interest in protecting the service (Art. 6(1)(f)).
Statistics. Only if you accept statistics cookies, the Site uses Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) to collect aggregated data about visits (pages viewed, approximate location, device). Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses. Legal basis: consent (Art. 6(1)(a)). Data are kept according to the retention settings of Google Analytics (maximum 14 months).
Embedded content. Some project pages show videos from YouTube (in privacy-enhanced “nocookie” mode) or Vimeo (with “do not track” enabled). When such a video is shown, your browser connects to those services, which receive your IP address.
Fonts are hosted on the Site itself, so no data is sent to Google Fonts.
3. Recipients and transfers outside the EU
Data are processed by the controller and by the providers listed above, acting as processors or as independent controllers: Namecheap, Inc. (hosting), Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (Analytics), The Rocket Science Group LLC (Mailchimp), Groq, Inc. (AI chat), WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. Some of these providers are based in the USA. Transfers take place on the basis of the EU–US Data Privacy Framework where the provider is certified, or of the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses. Data are not sold or disclosed to anyone else.
4. Your rights
You can ask at any time for access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, data portability, and you can object to processing based on legitimate interest (Arts. 15–22 GDPR). Where processing is based on consent you can withdraw it at any time, without affecting processing carried out before. To exercise your rights write to mandellimatteoart@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Italian Data Protection Authority (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Providing data is optional; without it we simply cannot answer your messages or send the newsletter. No automated decision-making or profiling takes place.
5. Cookies
Cookies are small text files stored by your browser. The Site uses:
- Technical cookies, always active, needed to remember your cookie choice (and, for the site administrator only, to keep the admin session open). They do not require consent.
- Statistics cookies (Google Analytics) and marketing cookies (Mailchimp), set only if you give your consent through the banner.

When you first visit, a banner lets you accept, reject or customize optional cookies; closing it with × equals rejecting. No optional cookie is set before you choose. Your choice is kept for 6 months. You can change it at any time from Cookie settings (also in the footer of every page). You can also delete cookies from your browser settings.

Questa informativa descrive come vengono trattati i dati personali di chi visita matteomandelli.com (il “Sito”), ai sensi del Regolamento (UE) 2016/679 (“GDPR”), del Codice Privacy (D.Lgs. 196/2003) e delle Linee guida cookie del Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.

2. Quali dati trattiamo e perché
Dati di navigazione. Il server che ospita il Sito registra automaticamente nei log alcuni dati tecnici (indirizzo IP, data e ora, pagina richiesta, browser) per erogare le pagine, garantire la sicurezza e verificare eventuali abusi. Base giuridica: legittimo interesse (art. 6.1.f GDPR). I log sono conservati dal fornitore di hosting per un periodo limitato.
Contatti via email o WhatsApp. Se ci scrivi via email o clicchi “Message on WhatsApp”, trattiamo nome, recapiti e contenuto del messaggio per risponderti. Base giuridica: richiesta dell’interessato e misure precontrattuali (art. 6.1.b) e legittimo interesse a rispondere (art. 6.1.f). I dati sono conservati per il tempo necessario a gestire la richiesta e l’eventuale seguito. WhatsApp è fornito da WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. (Meta), che tratta i dati come titolare autonomo secondo la propria informativa.
Newsletter. Se ti iscrivi, il tuo indirizzo email viene usato per inviarti aggiornamenti occasionali su mostre e nuove opere. Base giuridica: consenso (art. 6.1.a). La lista è gestita con Mailchimp (The Rocket Science Group LLC / Intuit Inc., USA). Puoi disiscriverti in qualsiasi momento dal link presente in ogni email; l’indirizzo è conservato fino alla disiscrizione.
Chat “Talk with Matteo”. Le domande scritte nella chat vengono inviate a Groq, Inc. (USA), un servizio di intelligenza artificiale, solo per generare la risposta. Il Sito non memorizza le domande. Per prevenire abusi, sul server viene conservata per circa un minuto un’impronta (hash) non reversibile dell’indirizzo IP. Ti chiediamo di non inserire dati personali nella chat. Base giuridica: richiesta dell’interessato (art. 6.1.b) e legittimo interesse alla protezione del servizio (art. 6.1.f).
Statistiche. Solo se accetti i cookie statistici, il Sito usa Google Analytics 4 (Google Ireland Ltd.) per raccogliere dati aggregati sulle visite (pagine viste, posizione approssimativa, dispositivo). Google Analytics 4 non registra né conserva gli indirizzi IP. Base giuridica: consenso (art. 6.1.a). I dati sono conservati secondo le impostazioni di Google Analytics (massimo 14 mesi).
Contenuti incorporati. Alcune pagine dei progetti mostrano video di YouTube (in modalità “nocookie” a privacy avanzata) o Vimeo (con “do not track” attivo). Quando il video viene mostrato, il browser si collega a questi servizi, che ricevono il tuo indirizzo IP.
I caratteri tipografici sono ospitati sul Sito, quindi nessun dato viene inviato a Google Fonts.
3. Destinatari e trasferimenti fuori dall’UE
I dati sono trattati dal titolare e dai fornitori indicati sopra, in qualità di responsabili o di titolari autonomi: Namecheap, Inc. (hosting), Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC (Analytics), The Rocket Science Group LLC (Mailchimp), Groq, Inc. (chat AI), WhatsApp Ireland Ltd. Alcuni hanno sede negli USA. I trasferimenti avvengono sulla base del Data Privacy Framework UE–USA, se il fornitore è certificato, oppure delle Clausole Contrattuali Standard della Commissione europea. I dati non vengono venduti né comunicati ad altri.
4. I tuoi diritti
Puoi chiedere in ogni momento l’accesso ai tuoi dati, la rettifica, la cancellazione, la limitazione del trattamento, la portabilità e opporti ai trattamenti basati sul legittimo interesse (artt. 15–22 GDPR). Se il trattamento si basa sul consenso puoi revocarlo in qualsiasi momento, senza pregiudicare la liceità del trattamento precedente. Per esercitare i tuoi diritti scrivi a mandellimatteoart@gmail.com. Hai inoltre diritto di proporre reclamo al Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it).
Il conferimento dei dati è facoltativo; in mancanza non potremo rispondere ai messaggi o inviare la newsletter. Non vengono effettuati processi decisionali automatizzati né profilazione.
5. Cookie
I cookie sono piccoli file di testo salvati dal browser. Il Sito utilizza:
- Cookie tecnici, sempre attivi, necessari a ricordare la tua scelta sui cookie (e, solo per l’amministratore del sito, a mantenere aperta la sessione dell’area admin). Non richiedono consenso.
